The Mosaic summer journalism workshop offers high school students an introduction to reporting, news writing, photography, web posting and blogging. Mosaic offers intense instruction and guidance from Mercury News reporters, photographers and Mosaic alumni,.
The workshop will include a field trip to The Mercury News newsroom, and the production of a print edition of student news stories, opinion columns and photographs. When: Mosaic 2020 will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 15-20 and June 22-26
Where: San Jose State University campus.
Who should apply? 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders.
Cost: The workshop is free of charge and bus tokens will be provided for those needing transportation.
